ENThe article deals with schoolchildren’s destructive behaviour at school that does not accept and thus violates and destructs (lot. destructio) the established moral norms of behaviour and manifests itself in harassment, violence, bullying one's peers. This article analyses the causes of such destructive behaviour as well as schoolchildren’s, teachers’ and first-year students’ approach to destructive behaviour. The research findings that are presented here suggest that purposeful high-quality content of (self-)education, i.e., finding the value-based meaning of knowledge and the processes of acquiring it, makes a positive change in schoolchildren’s behaviour.
