Summary / Abstract:

ENThe paper presents the essence and development of national identity in Lithuania. It emphasizes the fact that national education permeates all the spheres of education and fundamentally relates them with humanity; highlights the problems of national education in the context of globalization when the relationships between man and nation are changing, the opposition between the global market and the global society is deepening, the social stratification is growing and the national education is transforming. The paper reviews the national experiences of adolescents which demonstrate the movement of national education towards shallowness. Keywords: national individuality, national education, problems of national education in the globalization context, adolescents’ national experiences.
