ENThe paper aims at several objectives: 1) to reveal the essence of the concept of creation and development of the network of Lithuanian consulates devised by Ernestas Galvanauskas; 2) to present the chronology of development of the network of Lithuanian career and honorary consulates; 3) to compare the tendencies of creation and development of Lithuanian, Latvian and Polish consular networks in respect of the criteria selected.
