ENThe article presents the development of prosopography as one of the auxiliary sciences of history, which has been developing dynamically in the last decades, mainly due to the constant broadening of the source base for research and deepening of methodological reflection. Prosopography is an extremely tedious and time-consuming auxiliary science to history, because it requires taking into account the widest possible source base, so that satisfactory research results can be achieved. Thanks to the development of digital technology, it is now possible to create electronic databases based on source queries. [From the publication]
