ENMain trends in book printing in the 16th century after Francysk Skaryna in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania are highlighted in the present paper. The author discusses in short the lingual, thematic and typological variety of publications in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania according to various bibliographic sources and historiographic studies. More than 500 titles were published in the 16th century in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and the majority of them (approximately 220 titles) consists of books in Latin. Books in Polish take the second place (approximately 200 titles), editions in Church Slavonic and Ruthenian make the third largest group (more than 60 titles). Other groups consist of Lithuanian and German books (about 30 in each of them). One book each in Greek, Italian, Latvian, Swedish and Estonian appeared in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the same time. According to data from the Lithuanian National Bibliography, there were 30 publications in Lithuanian published in the 16th century (8 in Lithuania, 22 in Eastern Prussia). In the Grand Duchy o Lithuania, texts in 14 languages were published in the 14th century. In book publishing, there was prevalent religious and theological literature, such as the books of the Holy Scripture (in whole or in separate parts), hymnals, ecclesiastical and liturgical texts, confessional polemic. Among secular publications, state and legal documents, textbooks and fiction are of notice. [From the publication]
