LTVienas svarbiausių Lietuvos rūpesčių - jos integravimasis į Europos Sąjungą, paliečiantis visas socialines struktūras ir jų funkcionalumą. Dviejų straipsnių serijoje (kuriuose akumuliuota socialinės antropologijos, socialinės filosofijos bei nacionalnio identiteto sociologijos mintis) bandoma pažvelgti į šiuolaikinio lietuvio nacionalinį būdą, telkiant dėmesį į tuos jo kontūrus, kurie kelia tam tikrą nerimą žvelgiant į svarstomą problemą iš eurointegracijos pozicijų. ENOne of the major concerns for Lithuania is its integration to the European Union. This process involves all the social structures and their functionality. In the series of two articles (which rely on the ideas of social anthropology, social philosophy and sociology of national identity) the author focuses on the national character of the modern Lithuanian, concentrating on the aspects that raise uncertainty when the problem is looked upon from the perspective of Eurointegration. In this first and introductory article, the author presents the definition of the problem and discusses its relevance as well as the differences of national character and their social and civilizational meaning. A retrospective review of Lithuanian national character is presented up to the present times. [From the publication]
