ENTraining music teachers at a university, where choral singing is one of the study subjects in the study programme, the enhancement of motivation and encouragement of creative self-expression is carried out by integrating various instruments, movement, dance, theatre, fine arts, design and other elements into the choir performance. A range of forms are also employed: choral compositions of various styles, musicals, operas for children, etc. According to the students, subject-specific abilities of music teachers are nurtured, personality qualities and teacher-student collaboration are strengthened. The aim of the research: to reveal the peculiarities of traditions and innovations of choral singing in Lithuania and the role of music teachers in their development; Methods of the research: the analysis of scientific literature, synthesis, generalisation.
