ENResearch problem. Preschool education will be effective and successful only if it takes place not only in a preschool education institution, but also if it is continued in home environment. In this context the importance of communication and cooperation between preschool education institutions and parents becomes apparent. Since 2015 the number of people immigrating to Lithuania is increasing every year. In 2022 more than 80 thousand people came to Lithuania, almost all of them were non-EU citizens. This also poses challenges for the Lithuanian preschool education system, as many immigrant children have joined it, and preschool teachers have a challenge to communicate with people from another culture, who often have not only a language barrier, but also their own social beliefs, values, etc. The object – the communication and cooperation between preschool teachers and immigrant parents. The purpose – to analyze the communication and cooperation between preschool teachers and immigrant parents. Research data collection and analysis methods: scientific and methodological literature analysis, oral survey (semi structured interview with preschool teachers), content qualitative analysis. The most important results of the work: the research participants realise the benefits of communication and cooperation between preschool teachers and parents, understand the importance and meaning of this process. Study participants define that the language barrier is the biggest problem in communicating and cooperating with immigrant parents. Only a part of immigrant parents are actively involved in communication and cooperation with preschool teachers. Educators' initiatives and actions can have a positive influence on this process and encourage parents to communicate and cooperate more actively with preschool teachers. In order to encourage immigrant parents to communicate and cooperate, all research participants pay individual attention to immigrant parents, try to get to know them as well as possible, and create a close and sincere relationship eith them. Most of the research participants would like to improve their knowledge, skills and competences in the context of communication and cooperation with immigrant parents. According to the research participants, hiring a translator in the institution, providing part of the official information in the immigrant language, organizing training for preschool teachers, as well as organizing joint activities involving immigrant parents would help to improve the communication and cooperation of immigrant parents and preschool teachers. Keywords: preschool teachers, immigrant parents, communication and cooperation.
