ENThe popularity of Karol Fabiani’s book Missyi Apostolskiey Część II. Two sermons from Fabiani’s book, namely Nauka XXVIII. z Przykazania Boʃkiego Oʃmego. Nie będieʃz mowił fałʃzywego świadectwa przeciwko bliżniemu ʃwemu (FMA2 457-469) and Nauka XXIX. o Obmowach i innych ięzycznych grzechach, do tego Przykazania Boʃkiego, Oʃmego należących (FMA2 470-489), were not only translated into Lithuanian by Lukauskas (see LP 281-301) but also into Samogitian by Jurgis Ambroziejus Pabrėža in 1824 (see PWM 203-228). The article discusses how different intentions and creative capacities of the text presenters are revealed through the comparison of the versions of an equivalent text by Fabiani in three languages – Polish, Lithuanian, and Samogitian.
