ENThe North-Eastern region of Lithuania is one of the most problematic ones due to the low soil productivity, poor demographic situation, motley national composition and also the fact that this region is located in the peripheral part of Lithuania and European Union. These circumstances are responsible for the specific pattern of land use in the region. In this article, an attempt is made to reveal how the farmers in North-East Lithuania imagine the future of the land they own, what they expect and in which direction the agrarian landscape might be changed.
