LTStraipsnyje lyginamas dėstytojų ir studentų požiūris į vienos iš studijų proceso sudedamųjų dalių - akademinio konsultavimo - reikšmę koleginėse studijose. Jame aprašomos akademinio konsultavimo prielaidos, samprata bei tradicijos Lietuvoje ir užsienyje, analizuojami dėstytojų ir studentų nuomonės tyrimo apie konsultacijų reikšmę mokymosi sėkmei bei konsultacijų trikdžius rezultatai. Studijų kokybė pastaruoju metu yra vienas iš prioritetinių klausimų Lietuvos aukštosiose mokyklose. Vidiniai aukštojo mokslo institucijų tyrimai gali atskleisti tobulintinas studijų proceso sritis. Gauti studentų ir dėstytojų nuomonės tyrimo rezultatai leidžia paslaugos teikėjams vertinti studijų procesą ir numatyti gerinimo gaires. ENThe article analyzes students and lecturers' approach to the relevant component of the study process - academic counseling. The paper describes assumptions and concept of academic counseling, its tradition in Lithuania and abroad, presents the survey of continuing research on the college first year student's and their teachers attitude towards the importance of consultations on study success as well as the interferences of consultations. The outcomes of empirical study suggest that both lecturers and students do not consider consultations to be the most decisive factor in terms of learning success, but beneficial for students as they help to prepare for intermediate examinations ant evaluations, liquidate academic debts, perform self-study work, prepare for studying abroad on exchange programs. All respondents agree that major obstacles to consultation efficiency are deficient lime management skills, insufficient motivation, lack of self-control, but consider the trust based interaction between a student and teacher as a prerequisite for favorable counseling conditions. E-consultations are preferred by a small number of students, although the majority of teachers are providing this opportunity. [From the publication]
