Summary / Abstract:

Reikšminiai žodžiai: Grupinis interviu; Pedagogai; Pedagogas; Profesinis stresas; Profesinis strsas; Educator; Focus group method; Group interview; Group interviews; Occupational stress; Professional stress; Teachers.

During group interviews teachers revealed and divided into topics various aspects of teachers’ stress. This shows that the analysed professional community was deep into the analysed subject, and that this is a subject very well known to teachers. Moreover, teachers intuitively find, formulate and adapt rehabilitation means after professional stress. Despite vast scope, a variety of forms for emancipation and rehabilitation from the professional stress. The research found absolutely new stress factors of teachers’ job which, according to the authors, were not mentioned in the scientific literature. First of all, it’s the stress of “creative perfectionism”. Creative and ambitious teachers constantly think how to make every lesson unique, memorable and extraordinary. Over the time efforts to create pedagogical novelties become tiring and exhaust the teacher. Secondly, it is stress related to the process of the final examinations. This is absolutely Lithuanian cultural specific phenomenon, which is not present in other countries and therefore the respective stress factor is not mentioned in the scientific literature.
