ENGlobalization challenges require that the Lithuanian system of education be more consistently orientated to current economy: to the new competencies and new technologies. Recent and rapidly developing labour market requires constant upgrade, flexibility and openness from the vocational training institutions. Young people coming to the labour market must not only have occupational skills, i.e. qualification, but also general abilities (competencies), which would help them to find or independently develop workplaces and would grant successful operation in the market. The article investigates the following issue: which factors affect the development of entrepreneurship in vocational training. The first part of the article contains the definition of entrepreneurship and lists peculiarities of education in the development of entrepreneurship (political, educational, family, peers, environment of self-education), also factors, which are effected in different environment and stimulate the development of entrepreneurship within vocational training. The third part of the article contains conclusions, as follows: l. Factors stimulating the development of entrepreneurship in vocational training are defined via political-economic environment, educational environment, the environment of family and peers, the environment of self-education and planning of occupation and career perspectives. 2. The findings of the research revealed the following: Students tend to identify the importance of the development of entrepreneurship to economic levers (the increase of income, entrepreneurship is necessary in establishing one's own business, is topical in choosing occupation, etc.). Factors having most effect on the development of entrepreneurship are the business factors. […]. [text from author]
