LTStraipsnyje teoriškai išanalizuojama ir empiriškai pagrindžiama tiriamoji problema: kokios pedagogų profesionalumo tobulinimo ir karjeros valdymo galimybės. Teoriniai šio straipsnio aspektai suteikia galimybę atkreipti dėmesį į pedagogų profesionalumo tobulinimo ir karjeros valdymo problemas, nes šie procesai dažniausiai siejami su atestacijos procesu, t. y. perėjimu iš vienos karjeros stadijos į kitą, įgyjant aukštesnę kvalifikacinę kategoriją. Straipsnio mokslinį naujumą atskleidžia siekis parodyti pedagogų profesionalumo tobulinimą ir karjeros valdymą kaip mokymosi visą gyvenimą būtinybę, išeliminuojant vien tik karjeros siekimą. Praktiniu požiūriu gauti tyrimo duomenys gali būti reikšmingi siekiant atskleisti efektyvų profesionalumo tobulinimo procesą, užtikrinant sėkmingą pedagogų karjeros valdymą. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad profesionalumo tobulinimas - vienas iš veiksnių, efektyviausiai padedančių pedagogui pačiam valdyti savo karjerą. Tyrimas patvirtino, jog pedagogų profesionalumo tobulinimas ir karjeros valdymas vyks sėkmingai, jeigu bus sudaromos sąlygos sistemingam pedagogų profesionalumo tobulinimui darbo vietoje ir už jos ribų, jeigu bus stebimas ir įvertinamas jų profesionalumas ir atitinkama karjera. ENIn the article is to theoretically analyze and empirically substantiate a scientific problem: what are the opportunities for professionalism improvement and career management of educators. Theoretical aspects of this article provide an opportunity to draw attention to the problems of the professionalism improvement of educators and career management, where it is most often associated with the certification process, ie. y. t. y. the transition from one career stage to another in order to obtain a higher qualification category. The scientific novelty of the article is revealed by the aim to demonstrate the professionalism improvement of educators and career management as a necessity for lifelong learning, by eliminating only the pursuit of career. From the practical point of view, the research data can be significant in order to reveal an effective professionalism improvement process, ensuring successful career management of educators. The research has shown that professionalism improvement is one of the most effective factors in helping a educator manage his career. The research confirmed that the professionalism improvement of educators and career management will be successful, provided that the systematic improvement of the professionalism of educators in and outside the workplace will be monitored, and their professionalism and careers assessed.The research reveals that the professional development and career management processes of educators are not sufficiently understood as a necessity of lifelong learning; The professional development of teachers is not effective enough and does not ensure sufficient management of their successful careers. Therefore, the process of teacher professional development and career management within and outside the educational setting should be facilitated by the design and implementation of an andragogue professional who systematically conducts research on teacher learning needs, explores weaknesses and strengths in teaching, assesses individual careers and advances.
