LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjamas žymaus XIX a. pradžios bernardinų vienuolio pamokslininko Jurgio Ambroziejaus Pabrėžos (1771–1849) pamokslas Rytų Prūsijos katalikams „Pamokslas apie labai didžią giliukį“, sakytas Didžiojo jubiliejaus proga 1827 m. birželio 29 d. Drangauskinėje (netoli Tilžės). Tai vienintelis šiandien turimas J. A. Pabrėžos pamokslas, sakytas Prūsijoje. Jo kalba ir rašyba skiriasi nuo kitų to paties laikotarpio tekstų. Pamokslo pavadinime pavartotas žodis 'Gyluky' (vok. 'das Glück') rodo, kad autorius buvo pasirengęs tekstą adaptuoti adresatui. Straipsnyje tiriama, kokius lietuviškus šaltinius J. A. Pabrėža pasitelkė, kad pamokslą parengtų adresatui suprantama kalba. Prieinama prie išvados, kad J. A. ENThe article examines the sermon of the famous early 19th century Lithuanian preacher Jurgis Ambroziejus Pabrėža (1771–1849) to East Prussian Catholics, named “Sermon on great Happiness”, given on the occasion of the Great Jubilee on June 29, 1827 in Drangauskine (near Tilsit). This is the only known sermon of J. A. Pabrėža given in Prussia. The language and spelling of this sermon differ from other texts of the same period. The word Gylukys (in German: das Glück) used in the title of the sermon indicates that the author was prepared to adapt the text to the addressee. The article examines which Prussian Lithuanian publications J. A. Pabrėža used to prepare the sermon in a language understood by the addressee. The research revealed that J. A. Pabrėža relied on Prussian Catholic Lithuanian publications. Comparing the sermon with these texts, it was found that longer passages of the text, words, their combinations and some grammatical forms typical of Prussian Lithuanian religious writings were used. It is believed that J. A. Pabrėža could have relied on some Protestant Bible, probably edited by L. M. Rėza: B III (1816) or B IV (1824). It was noted that the tendency to use a lot of participles, especially reflexive ones, and some other grammatical forms, lexicon, word combinations could have been copied from M. L. Rėza. The sources of J. A. Pabrėža’s Lithuanian expression show that he did not avoid learning the Lithuanian language from Prussian Protestant writings. J. A. Pabrėža used the adopted words and some forms in other sermons, this way he attempted to get the addressee accustomed to the multi-layered text, prepared Samogitians for the understanding of more modern texts.
