Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje aptariamas dėstytojų požiūris į studento asmenybės vystymo galimybes universitetinėse studijose. Straipsnyje laikomasi nuostatos, kad aukštasis universitetinis mokslas ir ugdymas universitete nėra vien tik mokymas arba instruktavimas, suteikiant profesinę kvalifikaciją. Tuo labiau, kad šiuolaikinio profesionalo veiklos sėkmė priklauso ir nuo jo asmenybės išvystymo lygmens. Studento asmenybės vystymo galimybės siejamos su liberaliuoju ugdymu aukštajame moksle. Taikant apklausos raštu metodą, siekiama išsiaiškinti, kaip respondentai - dėstytojai supranta ir vertina liberaliojo ugdymo būdus ir priemones, įgalinančias visuminį intelektualaus, kritiškai mąstančio, gebančio adekvačiai vertinti save ir aplinką, atsakingo ir pilietiško visuomenės nario ugdymą. ENPersonality Development Potential in Mass Higher Education System: Instructor Attitude in the Higher Education Establishments in Transition The article discusses instructor attitude to student personality development potential during university studies. The article keeps to the attitude that the higher university education and studies are about more than only training or instruction in order to give professional qualification. Especially that the success of a modern professional depends also on his or her level of personality development. Student personality development potential is linked to liberal higher education. The questionnaire method was used to find out how respondent instructors understand and evaluate liberal education ways and means empowering the full development of an intellectual, critically thinking, capable of adequate self- and environment assessment, responsible and public-spirited society member.
