Summary / Abstract:

ENThe article treats the underlying assumptions of Martin Heidegger’s thought, which take shape on theoretical and practical planes. The discussion of the theoretical aspect treats the relations of this thought to existentialist thought, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel’s philosophy as well as to the theory of Aristotle and Plato. The discussion of the practical aspect treats the relation of Heidegger’s thought to modern and postmodern technology and art. Both - theoretical and practical - aspects are wedded by the concept of subject and by developing the theme of negativity. The crucial intention, or direction, of the article is the negation of the duality of subject and object in the One, with special regard to the ontological understanding of historicity. Unfolding the above-mentioned notions reconciles two different ways of speaking - the „rational“ and the „irrational“. [From the publication]
