ENThe anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures found in the Zvejnieki burial ground are analysed, with an emphasis on their relation to the whole matelrial from this burial ground, their position in the grave and other regularities, with the hope of coming closer to the reconstruction of the function and significance of these objects in the Stone Age communities. The comparative analysis employs data from other burial sites of the Baltic area in which anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figurines were found.
