Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje aptariami pradinio ugdymo specialybės studentų matematinio rengimo klausimai: pradinių klasių mokytojų matematinį pasirengimą sąlygojantys veiksniai, matematikos ir jos mokymo metodikos studijų aukštojoje ir aukštesniojoje pedagoginėje mokykloje tikslai, uždaviniai bei turinys. Pateikiami konstatuojamojo tyrimo rezultatai, leidžiantys teigti, kad matematinis pradinio ugdymo specialybės studentų rengimas neužtikrina pakankamo būsimųjų pradinių klasių mokytojų matematinio raštingumo. ENThe main objective of studies in Mathematics and its didactics course at a high and higher pedagogical school is to acquire competence of the future primary teachers to teach mathematics at primary school. Seeking the aim to achieve that objective it is planned in programs of primary education pedagogical studies at all high and higher pedagogical schools to deepen and develop knowledge and skills in Mathematics of the future primary teachers, to introduce them the objectives, contents and process of teaching mathematics at primary school, to form skills of practical work and modern attitudes. After acknowledgement with the study plans of educational institutions preparing primary teachers as well as with the educational programs in Mathematics, it became evident, that at present two types of educational programs in mathematics are applied: the future primary teachers study the subjects of fundamental mathematics and subjects related to its teaching separately, or they study the integrated course of the above mentioned subjects. Mathematical education programs of the same type at different institutions differ among themselves by their contents, number of study hours and study semesters. Continuity of mathematical studies is not provided for between high and higher pedagogical schools. The received data of the declarative survey allow drawing a conclusion, that preparation of students of mathematical primary education specialty according to the integrated program of mathematics and its teaching at the primary school is more effective than traditional, when the given subjects of studies are lectured separately.
