Career development learning in middle childhood: Lithuania case
ENIt has become clear in the present day that the nature of people’s work is changing radically. Children need to get access to different sources of information, the tools that can be used to access them, and to select information and knowledge according to their age, needs, and activities from a young age. Since 2012, Lithuania has been developing a unified career education system for pupils. Career development starts from early childhood (3–6 years). Methodological tools have been developed for the programme along with the “MUKIS” information system. One of the competencies of career development is the knowledge of oneself, others, and the gender education. These are the issues that are discussed in this chapter.
