Summary / Abstract:

ENThe aim of the article is to provide information on genesis of Ruthenian Bible by Francysk Skaryna, printed in Prague in the 16th c. in the context of Prague Christian and Hebrew publications. This article is a result of research on Czech books from the Jagellonian period carried out during the last decade. The main attention in this research is given to the fonts, decorations, illustrations, publishing policy and audience of these publications. Research reveals influence of Prague Jagellonians on the genesis of Ruthenian Bible.
