ENThe aim of this investigation was to analyze mental health and sense of coherence of pedagogues. Sense of Coherence Scale by A. Antonovsky (1987) and GHQ by D. Goldberg (2001) were used as evaluational tools. 264 pedagogues (21-67 years old, mean age 40,34) participated in the survey. 75,8% of participants were women and 24,2% men, 64,4% were married, other 35,6% weren't (single, divorced or widowed). By working place respondents distributed this way: 32,6% respondents worked in colledges or universities, 67,4% worked in secondary or professional schools. 20,5% had previous experience from 0 till 5 years, 22% had experience from 6 till 10 years, 26,9% - from 10 till 20 years and 30,7% - more than 20 years. Results showed that pedagogues working more than 10 years had higher comprehensibility than those who were working less than 10 years (p=0,024). Pedagogues who were working in universities or colledges had higher manageability (p=0,024) and meaningfulness (p=0,022) than those who were working in schools. Results showed that sense of coherence of pedagogues was negatively connected with psychological distress level (p=0,001). Pedagogues whose sense of coherence was higher had better mental health (p=0,001). It was found that mental health of pedagogues didn't differ among female and male pedagogues, married or non-married, also among pedagogues of different age, previous experience and working place (p>0,05).
