Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama anksti išnykusi Vilniaus dalis, istoriniuose šaltiniuose vadinama Kreivuoju miestu (Curvum Castrum). Autorius, remdamasis Kreivojo miesto orografine padėtimi, teigia, kad šis turėjo stovėti ant aukštumos ir ginti kunigaikščio pilį. Pagrindinis dėmesys yra skiriamas aplinkos istorijos duomenų tyrimams. Autoriaus nuomone, esminiai topografijos pokyčiai šioje teritorijoje įvyko po Kreivojo miesto sudeginimo 1390 m. (Fig. 1 ir 3). Svarbiausias pokytis – dominuojančios aukštumos (Kreivojo kalno), ant kurios stovėjo atsarginė pilis, išnykimas. Analizuojama Kreivojo miesto gynybinė sistema, ešelonų dislokacija (nuoseklus išdėstymas), atskirų grandžių sąveika, apšaudymo galimybės ir gynybos derinimas tarp šios teritorijos ir Aukštutinės pilies. ENThe article discusses an early vanished part of Vilnius, which is called the Curvum Castrum in historical sources. The author, on the basis of the aerographic position of the Curvum Castrum, thinks that it was located on the heights adjacent to the duke's castle for defensive reasons. The main attention is devoted to investigating the environmental history data. The author states that essential topographic changes occurred in this territory after the burning of the Curvum Castrum in 1390. (cf. Figs. 1 and 3) The most important change was the disappearance of the dominating height, Kreivasis (Crooked) Hill, on which the auxiliary castle had stood. It explores the defensive system of the Curvum Castrum, its echelon nature (arrangement in successive levels), the interaction among the separate defensive links, the fields of fire, and the defensive interaction between this territory and the duke's castle on the hill of the Upper Castle.
