Summary / Abstract:

LTDubingių piliavietė – anksčiau buvusi sala – dabar yra pusiasalyje Asvejos ežero krante, Molėtų rajono Dubingių miestelyje. Šioje piliavietėje yra išlikę XVI – XVII a. Radvilų rūmų ir evangelikų reformatų bažnyčios griuvėsiai. 2003 – 2007 m. vyko archeologiniai Dubingių piliavietėje esančios bažnyčios vietos tyrimai, kurių rezultatai yra pristatomi šiame straipsnyje. Tyrimų metu buvo atidengti 124 griautiniai kapai. 2004 m. buvo aptikta Radvilų kapavietė bažnyčios viduje. Tai 8 perlaidoti Radvilų giminės didikų palaikai, kurių perlaidojimas galėjo įvykti XVII a. pabaigoje artėjant Šiaurės karui. Ši aplinkybė bei kai kurių asmenų panašumas, amžius bei eiliniams to meto gyventojams nebūdingi gero ir pastovaus maitinimosi požymiai patvirtino prielaidą, jog ši kapavietė priklausė Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės didikams Radviloms. Dar ne mažiau kaip 50 žmonių palaikų buvo aptikta iš suardytų kapų. Visi palaidojimai įvyko XV a. II p. – XVII a. Reikšminiai žodžiai: Viduramžiai; Naujieji amžiai; Radvilos (Radziwill; Radvila family); Laidosena; įkapės; Middle Ages; New Ages; Burial rites; Grave goods; Dubingiai; Radvilos (Radziwill; Radvila family); Evangelikų reformatų bažnyčia; Antropologiniai tyrimai; Palaikų indentifikavimas; Dubingiai; Calvinist church; Burials; Anthropological analysis; Identification of found remnants.

ENThe article presents the results of the archaeological research conducted for several years at the Dubingiai (in Polish: Dubinki) former churches site, at the Dubingiai Castle. The information are completed by the concise history of the castle and the data gathered from the anthropological analysis, there are also outlined the directions of further identifications of, mortal remains of the Radvilos Dubingiai (in Polish: Radziwill). The research has been carried out at two sites: the ruins of the Dubingiai Castle from the 15th- 17th centuries and nearby ruins of a Calvinist church from the 15th- 17th century. Excavations were conducted by the research team from the Academy of Cultural Heritage, Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology and the Castle Research Centre "Lietuvos pilys", under the leadership of Albinas Kuncevičius. The works at the site of the Calvinist church were carried out in 2003-2006 and they have resulted in a discovery of hundreds of findings of the fragments of architectonic decor of the building and fragments of ceramics from the 15th-17th centuries. The oldest finds are the coins of Great Duke of Lithuania Vytautas; the latest ones are the fragments of the marble tombstones of the Radvilos and a marble Lord's Table from the Calvinist church.Amongst the most important findings are numerous burials discovered inside and outside the church building. Presumably they are the burials of ones of the most famous representatives of the Radvilos family, who set a mark on the history of Lithuania and neighbouring countries hi the centuries. Inside the church building, near the apse, there has been discovered a place of reburial of the Radvilos remnants. There is an attempt made to identify the remnants of the Radvilos on the basis of anthropological analysis supported by the historical and iconographical materials. The authors emphasize that the results are not conclusive, nonetheless they are proud to have found the remnants of the persons of exceptional importance for Lithuania. [From the publication]
