ENForecasts are necessary, because they help us think about the future and its opportunities that may appear on Lithuania's path through the 21 century. It may prevent total surprise. We have thought enough about the past even at the expense of the future. This article is about the forces that drive future world events because we will be right in the middle of them. Opportunities and good luck come to those who are prepared. It's very speculative to dwell on the future, but we must, so as to have some approximation of our future history and be able to steer it a little, whenever we can, in the direction most favourable to us.
