ENIn the 16th-17th centuries Lithuanian writings in the sphere of the first and second person singular, possessiveness is expressed in two ways: by possessive pronouns and by possessive Genitives of personal pronouns. Predominating form of the expression of possessiveness is mano, tavo, savo. Exclusive here is only Dauksa’s Postil, where inflective forms of the possessive pronouns manas, tavas, savas are numerous. Such peculiar cases of usage by Daukša are complicated to explain, because in other writings of the same language variant sources, uninflective Genitives are more common. The explanation of the influence of the Polish original is not persuasive, because in the writings of the same period translated from the Polish language, possessive Genitives prevail over personal pronouns. The forms of pronominal personal pronouns are scarce in the researched writings, actually, they arc met only in Dauksa’s Postil. Some of these pronominal forms were inclined to get substantivized and are already used as nouns. [From the publication]
