ENIn analysis of the functioning of the institution of godparents, I attempt to reveal some of the features of the interaction of godparents and godchildren during festivals. In recent years, the relations of godparents and godchildren is ritualized not only with the godchild going to First Communion, graduating from school or getting married, but also through annual recurring holidays. During these holidays, the ties between godparents and godchildren are strengthened much more, which creates the opportunity for the concept of "the ritual year of godparents and godchildren" to function.
