Summary / Abstract:

LTRiziką patiriančioms šeimoms būdingas nesugebėjimas patenkinti emocinių ir fizinių vaiko reikmių, elementariausių socialinių įgūdžių neturėjimas. Tokios šeimos dažnai neturi žinių, kaip prižiūrėti vaiką, nežino, kaip išmokyti jį tvarkos, iškilusių problemų sprendimo, jausmų raiškos, krizių įveikos. Šalia kitų opių šeimų, patiriančių riziką, problemų – vaikų nepriežiūros, apleistumo problemos - ypač aktualios, jų sprendimui būtina skirti ypatingą dėmesį, siekiant šių šeimų socialinės reabilitacijos. ENFamilies incurring a risk are characterized by inability to satisfy the emotional and physical needs of the child and the lack of basic social skills. Such families often have no knowledge of how to care for a child, how to teach him and how to deal with problems, especially expressing feelings and overcoming crises. In addition to the problems of other vulnerable groups - children‘s neglect, abandonment problems are particularly relevant and special attention needs to be paid to their solution in order to social rehabilitation of these families. Quantitative study - questionnaire survey was conducted in 2018, the subjects of the study were selected by the target group by persons belonging to the risk group. General sample – 98 families incurring a risk, sample size - 78 families incurring a risk. Analysis of study results suggests that the most relevant problems in families incurring a risk are: failure to perform key family functions (due to lack of funds, alcohol abuse, inability to live differently); family management, child upbringing and socialization problems (unable to meet the needs of emotional and physical children); ignorance of how to deal with difficulties, so they need help, especially in developing their independence, parenting skills, daily and working skills. In order to achieve these families‘ social rehabilitation, the most important results of the study are to be emphasized: most often persons are registered as the social risk families for child neglect and alcohol consumption; the most appropriate type of social assistance for these persons is personal interviews with social workers; most of them want to change, which is motivated by the desire to create a child-friendly future; more of them are uncomfortable with others due to belonging to a risk group, only a minority of them think that they can be removed from the list of risk groups within one year or half a year.
