ENThe present paper aims at several objectives: 1) to find out the approach of the Seimas and the Government towards the establishment and activities of consulates in Soviet Russia, the Far Eastern Republic, and Soviet Ukraine as well as the factors and motives determining their decision-making; 2) to present official and unofficial consular staff and finances in 1921ñ1922; 3) to reveal the process of the establishment and activities of the consulates in 1921-1922.
