ENA large manuscript is kept in one of the libraries in the city of Lviv (now in Ukraine, formerly Lwów, Poland) containing the text of a lecture on Polish-Lithuanian law. It was probably written by Ignacy Daniłowicz in the late 1820s, and offers an opportunity for numerous observations concerning the changes that occurred in Polish-Lithuanian law in the early 19th century, following the fall and partition of Poland-Lithuania. Part of the country was occupied by Russia, and the local law came under the influence of Russian law. Changes affected all areas of law to a varying extent.
