ENThe article focuses on tendencies in training teachers of general education in 1941-1944. After Lithuania’s occupation by the Nazi German army, the former education system that had operated during the period of the Republic of Lithuania was restored including the forms and ways of teacher training. The paper analyses the work of teacher training institutions, peculiarities and changes in the content of teacher training and presents changes in the numbers of teachers of primary and secondary schools in 1941-1944.
