Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje aptariamas katalikiškojo ugdymo ir išskirtinai asumpcionistinės mokyklos tradicijos socializacijos požiūriu ištirtumas. Remiantis katalikiškojo ugdymo samprata ir socialinio konstrukcionizmo filosofine prieiga pristatoma asumpcionistinio ugdymo tradicija, išryškinami pagrindiniai jos elementai. Tyrimo rezultatų analizė atskleidžia, kaip šie asumpcionistinio ugdymo dėmenys reiškiasi praktiniame ugdyme.

ENThe paper presents the tradition of Assumption education based on the Catholic education conception and on the constructionist philosophical approach, underlining its main elements. The aim of the article is to underline the aspect of students’ socialization in schools that apply Assumption education. The article discusses how to analyze the traditions of catholic education and especially Assumption education in the perspective of socialization. Assumption education (first school: 1841) is rooted in the personal social and religious experience of Marie Eugenie Milleret and on her understanding of the necessity of a different education in her environment. The schools developed not only on a geographical level, but also as far as content and methods are concerned because they adjusted to new contexts. The innovation of Assumption schools is the idea of changing society, social transformation. Taking the Assumption schools Texte de Référence (Reference Text) as a basis, four principles come out. The research results show how these dimensions of Assumption education are expressed in particular educational practice. Christian education is based on anthropology and pedagogical optimism. The adoption of such attitudes encourages students to be socially active and to work at the changing of society.
