ENThe students of highers chools (universities or colleges) use different teaching aids in education process, lecture notes and textbooks being the most popular. Lecture notes are being used more frequently than textbooks as themate rial placed in lecture notes is claimed to be comprehensible and clear. In addition to this, the amount of information provided in lecture notes is sufficient for tests and exams. Traditional textbooks are being used by students studying liberal arts and social science more often than by students studying exact and natural science. Where as computer based textbooks are being used frequently by exact and natural science students. This difference was approved to be significant. It has been discovered that students seeking for master’s degree use both traditional and computer based textbooks more often than students seeking for bachelor’s degree. Hence textbooks seem to be of major importance for students seeking for master’s degree. The textbooks’ quality of being up - to - date depends on the subject the textbook is written for. Recently published textbooks are being used by students studying social science, medicine. Olden textbooks are used by students studying exact and natural science. Computer based textbooks are more modern than traditional printed textbooks. The information provided in computer based textbooks seems to be up - to - date. Further more, the newest science achievements are discussed in them.
