ENThe paper is devoted to the features of the Grinkiškis subdialect in ‘Lietuviszka gramatika’, which was written by the Catholic priest Mykolas Miežinis in 1886. Some phonetic and morphological peculiarities and phenomena are analysed: the quality of the first component of diphtong [ei], the monophthongization in unstressed syllables, the reduction of unstressable short final vowels, the pronunciation of nasal [ą], [ę], the prothesis and the contraction, the fusion of the productive stems with non-productive stems. The dialectal words and forms are presented.
