LTPublikacijoje pateikiamas istorikės ir pedagogės Vandos Daugirdaitės-Sruogienės (1899–1997) paskaitos Lietuvos valstybiniame radiofone mašinraštis. Tekstas neturi datos, galima spėti, kad paskaita skambėjo radijo bangomis maždaug 1938 metais. Istorikė davė metodinių patarimų mokytojams ir ne tik jiems, kaip sudominti savo krašto istorija ne tik tautiečius, bet ir svečius iš užsienio.

ENThe publication presents the text of the radio lecture on historical excursions by Vanda Daugirdaitė-Sruogienė (1899–1997), a famous Lithuanian historian and educator. It is not clear when the lecture was transmitted on the Lithuanian National Radio Station but it could be in February of 1937 or 1938. The historian offered methodical pieces of advice on how to prepare interesting historical excursions not only to the local citizens but also to foreigners. In addition to historical facts, she presented quotes from literature and verses in order to stimulate the audience to take interest in the history of Lithuania. V. Daugirdaitė-Sruogienė tells how she travelled by train from Kaunas to Šiauliai in a company of some foreign journalist. She wanted to prove that Lithuanian historical places were fascinating irrespective of a seemingly "dull" and "boring" landscape. The typewritten script of this lecture is kept at the Lithuanian Central State Archives.
