Visuotinės istorijos tyrimų perspektyvos Lietuvos istorijos institute

LTStraipsnyje aptariama Lietuvos istorijos instituto veiklos ataskaita ir apžvelgiama ateities tyrimų perspektyva. Pagrindinis tyrimo tikslas – atskleisti instituto galimybes organizuoti ir vykdyti visuotinės istorijos tyrimus. Charakterizuojamas personalas, įvertinama darbuotojų kvalifikacija, valdymas ir teisinė bazė bei supažindinama su institucijos struktūra. Taip pat apžvelgiama 1999–2002 metų laikotarpio instituto finansinė būklė. Pažymima, jog Lietuvos istorijos instituto strateginiame 2002–2006 metų veiklos plane numatyta pirmiausia skatinti tarpdisciplininius tyrimus. Išvardintos instituto turimos bendradarbiavimo sutartys su užsienio švietimo bei mokslo institucijomis leidžia planuoti ir rengti projektus, orientuotus į lyginamuosius visuotinės istorijos tyrimus. Pristatomos jau vykdomos ir planuojamos vykdyti programos bei komentuojamas jų turinys ir realizavimo strategija. Lietuvos istorijos institute planuojami ir jau vykdomi moksliniai projektai yra rimta prielaida tokiems tyrimams plėtoti, bet jų sėkmė priklausys nuo bendros mokslo politikos raidos Lietuvoje. Visuotinės istorijos tyrimai kaip ir kiti bus neefektyvūs tol, kol nebus pereita prie tiesioginio mokslo tyrimų programinio finansavimo. Tik įgyvendinus šią sąlygą, galima burti pajėgias tyrinėtojų grupes, panaudoti ne vienos institucijos ir ne vien Lietuvos, bet ir kitų šalių pajėgas konkrečioms visuotinės istorijos problemoms nagrinėti.

ENThe article discusses the action report of Lithuanian institute of history and looks at the perspective of future research. The main objective of the study is to reveal the potential of the institute to organize and carry out research of global history. Personnel is characterized, assessment of employees' qualification, management and legal base are evaluated, the structure of the institution is introduced. It also provides an overview of the financial situation of the institute during the period from 1999 to 2002. It is noted that the strategic plan of the Lithuanian Institute of History for the period 2002-2006 primarily foresees promoting interdisciplinary research. Institute's existing cooperation agreements with foreign educational and scientific institutions allow to plan and develop projects that are oriented to comparative studies of general history. The article presents already implemented and planned to execute programs and comments on their content and strategy. The analyses that are planned or already being carried out in the Lithuanian institute of history are an important premise for the development of such research, but their luck will depend on the general development of science policy in Lithuania. Research of the universal history, as others will be ineffective until moving to the direct funding of research programming. It is possible to gather groups of researchers only after implementing this condition, to use not just one institution and not only from Lithuania, but to get together forces from other countries that are able to analyse specific problems of global history.
