ENTadas Tamošiūnas in his report “School in the Multi-National Surroundings” analyzes the results of research done with the students of different nationalities and with the Lithuanian, Russian and Polish schools. The speaker makes a conclusion that there is a rising threat to the national identity of the young generation. If strengthening of the national identity is one of the priorities of the education, as the official documents declare, and schools should pay more attention to this objective. According to the lecturer, the essential problem is that the activities of schools do not correspond to the declared principles.
