Summary / Abstract:

Reikšminiai žodžiai: Galios centrai; Galios centras; Informacinis laukas; Laisvoji rinka; Liberalizmas; Libertarizmas; Lietuvos visuomenė; Politinė kultūra; Populizmas; Socialdemokratija; Valstybė; Verslas; Vertybės; Žiniasklaida; Business; Free Market; Information sphere; Liberalism; Libertarian; Lithuanian society; Media; Political culture; Populism; Power center; Power centers; Socialdemocracy; State; Values.

ENThe opinion dominant in the layers of current Lithuanian information field states that existing deprivation and country's maladies are a result of inadequate or incomplete reforms. In other layers of information field there is another thought saying that Lithuania had taken the wrong way, that it was better to live in Soviet times, that democracy and the market gave little to the people, that everything is possible to the powerful of the world. There is another, social democratic, valuable layer, which is between the first and the second layers. It recognizes the private origin, its efficiency and significance; however, it is believed that market needs supplementing or restricting mechanisms, it requires not only private, but also public goods. In practice the three ideal informational valuables layers work with impurities and overlaps. The difficulties of our country and society are related to the poor valuable orientation, i.e. we do not always know what we really want and seek what is important and what is irrelevant, progressive and reactionary because in our culture we have a lot of instinctive phobias and philias. There is a lot of uncertainty about the little discussed issue of power centres; with regard to the country as a management apparatus, trade unions, church, business and the media, the last two power centres have the biggest power. The issue of public privity could be solved by the maturity and balance of values, the proper balance of power between power centres. Value systems existing in the society, power centres and public privity are closely linked to each other. A well-organized and managed society depends directly on rational balance of values, power and public privity.
