ENInter-religious dialogue opens doors to a better understanding of the faith of another religious tradition. Christian-Jewish relations are of special importance to followers of both religions, given the particular link in their relationship. Inter-religious dialogue may lead to new and unexpected discoveries about oneself. In this dialogue the partners from both sides try to be inclusive and such inclusiveness is sometimes misunderstood as syncretism. In reality dialogue gives both sides the chance to affirm the very opposite syncretism. It affirms diversity and recognizes plurality. Dialogue provides everyone the possibility to encounter one's self and one's faith in depth [p. 96].
