ENThe establishment of the existence of the musical instruments in the Calvary Crossway worshipping in Lithuania has been chosen as an object by the author of the article. The aim is to analyze what musical instruments were used during the walking of the Calvary Crossways in Lithuania. The hypothesis says, that the musical instruments used in the Calvary Crossway worshipping came from the Lithuanian pagan religious rituals and plots from The Bible. The tasks are: 1) to describe the musical instruments which have been used in the rituals of the Calvary Crossway in Lithuania, basing on the analysis of the publish scientific and expeditionary materials; 2) to reveal their origin in the worshipping; 3) to ground the thesis, that musical interments were used in the religious rituals in the pagan and Christian cultures in Lithuania. The research of such kind in new and original in the field of religious instrumentological science, because these arc the first works in the context of this science. The research done revealed, that 1) in Lithuania six Calvaries from seven, i.e. Žemaičių (Samogitian), Beržoras, Vilnius, Vepriai and Mosėdis were founded in the pagan sacral paces, which give them the sacral shade of local origin; 2) the time of the year influenced the successful existence of the national musical instruments in the Calvary Crossway festivals. The Calvary Crossway festivals usually predominated in the summer time.3) the usage of the musical instruments in Vilnius Calvary Crossway reflected the changes in the usage of the musical instrumentation caused by the change of times and development of the usage of the instruments in the national and International level, i.e., it reflects the development and changes of the definite historical period and its culture. So, it is possible to assert, that instrumentalization in the Calvary Crossway worshipping in Lithuania is older than Christianity itself in Samogitia. So, it proves the hypothesis stated in the beginning of the work, that the musical instruments used in the Calvary Crossway worshipping in Lithuania came from Lithuanian pagan religious rituals and plots of The Bible.
