LTŠiame straipsnyje nagrinėjami du prieštaringi požiūriai į tradicinę kaimo kultūrą, tradicinę dorovę ir etnopedagogiką - vienas idealizuojantis, kitas kritikuojantis. Jie trukdo efektyviai etninių vertybių internalizacijai. Pabrėžiama būtinybė adekvačiai vertinti tradicinę dorovinę kultūrą bei kūrybiškai perimti jos vertybes. ENTraditional ethnic and cultural values are very important today. Both, education theorists and practicing teachers agree that socialization into ethnic culture is one of the main aims of education. However, this aim is not easily achievable. In this paper, problems and obstacles to achieve this aim are discussed. One of them is lack of adequate and creative view towards traditional culture. Traditional Lithuanian culture is defined as moral one. Kavolis defines moral culture as the system of traditions. This system to reflect the moral conception and to stimulate people to behave according to this conception. But even in the homogeneous culture there is a place for individual variations and interpretations. That is why traditional moral education, its ideals, values, and the purposes not always coincide with real situation in education system. That is why the idealistic and the realistic aspects of education should be distinguished. [Text from author]
