LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama ekonomikos mokslo raida Lietuvoje. Pirmoje dalyje ieškoma ekonominės minties pradmenų tarpukario Lietuvos akademiniuose sluoksniuose, pristatomi sovietinio režimo ir marksizmo–leninizmo ideologijos atnešti paradigminiai pokyčiai ekonomikos moksle. Pabrėžiama Vakaruose plėtotų teorinių prieigų įtakos, domėjimosi jomis stoka, taip pat galimybių pažinti vakarietiškos ekonomikos raidą trūkumas sovietinėje sistemoje. Taip pat aptariamas ekonomistų ugdymas sovietmečiu, šio laikotarpio ekonomikos tyrimų pobūdis, matematinės ekonomikos raidos tendencijos bei pagrindinių šios disciplinos institucijų sistema. Antroje straipsnio dalyje nagrinėjama ekonomikos kaip disciplinos peržiūra po sovietinio režimo žlugimo ir 1990 m. Lietuvos nepriklausomybės atkūrimo. Aiškinama, jog Lietuvoje nuo sovietinio stiliaus planinės ekonomikos teko pereiti prie vakarietiškų ekonomikos kategorijų, pokyčiai davė impulsą ultra-liberalizmui. Aukštojo mokslo institucijos pradėjo mokyti ekonomikos pagrindų, atsirado verslo valdymo programos, tačiau iš esmės staigiai pereiti prie vakarietiško tipo ekonomikos mokslo nepavyko, disciplina susidūrė su įvairiais iššūkiais, į kuriuos šiandien atsakyti bando eilė mokslo, švietimo ir viešosios politikos institucijų. ENThis article discusses the development of economics in Lithuania. The first part searches for the foundations of economic thought in the Lithuanian academic circles during the interwar, introduces paradigmatic changes in economic science brought by the ideology of the Soviet regime and Marxism-Leninism. It emphasizes the lack of influence of the theoretical approaches developed in the West, and the lack of interest in them, as well as the lack of opportunities to learn about the development of the Western economy in the Soviet system. It also discusses the training of economists in the Soviet times, the nature of economic research during this period, trends of the development of mathematical economics and the system of the main institutions of this discipline. The second part of the article deals with the review of the economy as a discipline after the collapse of the Soviet regime and the restoration of independence of Lithuania in 1990. It is explained that in Lithuania it was switched from the Soviet style planned economy to the Western economic categories and the changes led to ultra-liberalism. Higher education institutions began to teach fundamentals of economics, business management programs emerged, but in general the rapid transition to Western-type economic sciences failed, the discipline faced a variety of challenges that many science, education and public policy institutions are trying to respond to today. The following sections of the article discuss the theoretical and methodological approaches to economics that are dominant in Lithuania, the dominant fields of analysis, themes, funding mechanisms, as well as the expression of economists in the public space and academic discussions; at the end of the article the guidelines for the future of economic discipline in Lithuania are outlined.
