LTStraipsnyje pateikiama palankios ugdymo(si) aplinkos samprata, apžvelgiamos jos kūrimo sąsajos su ugdymo(si) metodų taikymu mokant(is) užsienio kalbų. Pristatomas tyrimas, kuris atskleidžia palankios ugdymo(si) aplinkos kūrimo svarbą taikant efektyvius ugdymo(si) metodus bei respondentų požiūrį į palankią ugdymo(si) aplinką formuojančius veiksnius bei metodus. Išsiaiškinus, kurie iš tyrimo metu pateiktų palankios ugdymo(si) aplinkos kūrimo veiksnių ir ugdymo(si) metodų ugdytiniams yra svarbiausi, galima siekti efektyvaus užsienio kalbų mokymo(si). ENAn important condition for successful foreign language teaching/learning is the creation of favourable teaching/learning environment through the application of effective educational methods. The problem of the research- the possibilities for favourable educational conditions in teaching/learning environment creation are not sufficiently used in education process. The relevance of the research – the observance of the most important factors for creating favourable teaching/learning environment and searching for their relationship with the effective educational methods of learning foreign languages could provide better educational results. The object of the research – favourable teaching/learning environment, educational methods. The aim of the research - to investigate the interrelation of creating favourable teaching/learning environment and applying effective educational methods while teaching/learning foreign languages. The objectives of the research: to analyse the concept of favourable teaching/learning environment creation and the most important factors having impact on favourable teaching/learning environment; to highlight the interrelation of the creation of favourable teaching/learning environment and the application of teaching/learning methods; to find out what impact of creating favourable teaching/learning environment on teaching/learning foreign languages can be conducive, when the key factors shaping the environment are taken into account and when educational methods to meet the students’ needs are applied. The methods of the research – scientific literature and document analysis, questionnaire survey, statistical data analysis.The investigation of the topic was based on Richard’s, Jansen’s, Goleman’s, Fleischmann’s, Bayer’s, Buehl’s et al. scientific theories, the authors’ personal practical experience and the research conducted in Kaunas College in 2012. The research reveals the importance of creating favourable teaching/learning environment using effective educational methods. In teaching/learning foreign languages there is a possibility for successful application of the variety of educational methods forming favourable teaching/learning environment. The methods applied in teaching/learning process should be focused on creativity development, educators’ and learners’ varied mutual activity in which each student would assume the responsibility for their learning/teaching process and the place for systematic application of effective educational methods would be found. After having revealed which of the factors presented during the research for creating favourable teaching/learning environment and educational methods are the most important and most acceptable for the learners, it is possible to seek the effective foreign language learning.
