Sumanymai įsteigti Romoje kolegiją Rusijos imperijos katalikų dvasininkams XIX a. pabaigoje - XX a. pradžioje
LTStraipsnyje kalbama apie Rusijos valdžios ir kitus sumanymus įsteigti Romoje kolegiją, kurioje būtų galėję gyventi ir Romos aukštosiose mokyklose studijuoti iš Rusijos imperijos kilę katalikų dvasininkai. Šiame straipsnyje, nesigilinant į Rusijos ir Vatikano diplomatinių santykių kontekstą, bandoma į kolegijos Romoje problemą pažvelgti kunigų aukštųjų studijų Vakarų Europoje aspektu. Darbe mėginama atsakyti į tris klausimus. Atskleisti, kaip Rusijos valdžia žiūrėjo į kunigų studijas Vakarų Europoje. Aptarti pačius sumanymus XIX a. pabaigoje – XX a. pradžioje Romoje įsteigti kolegiją iš Rusijos imperijos atvykusiems klierikams ir kunigams. Pabaigoje lieka klausimas, ar buvo bandoma Romoje įsteigti lietuvišką kolegiją. Rusijos imperijoje XIX a. antrojoje pusėje įvesta aukštųjų teologinių studijų sistema ribojo katalikų kunigų galimybes įgyti aukštąjį išsilavinimą. Dėl to prasidėjo iš esmės valstybės nekontroliuojamas savaiminis procesas, kada kunigai patys vyko studijuoti į Vakarų Europą. Įsteigus kolegiją Romoje, būtų sudarytos sąlygos pastovioms ir sistemingoms studijoms. Lietuvių kolegijos Romoje idėja kilo pačioje XX a. pradžioje studijuojantiems kunigams, bet nebuvo jokių galimybių ją realizuoti. Pirmaisiais nepriklausomos Lietuvos valstybės metais atsirado konkretus lietuvių kolegijos Romoje įsteigimo sumanymas, kuriam pritarė Lietuvos dvasinė ir pasaulietinė vyresnybė. ENThe article describes the ideas of the Russian government and other ones to establish a college in Rome, wherein the Catholic clergy native of The Russian empire would have been able to live and study at Roman universities. This article, without going deep into context of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vatican, attempts to look at the problem of the college in Rome in perspective of pastoral higher education in Western Europe. This paper tries to answer three questions. To show the attitude of the Russian government to pastoral studies in Western Europe. To discuss the very plans at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century to establish a college for ordinands and priests, who have arrived from the Russian empire. And the final question is whether there have been attempts to establish the Lithuanian college in Rome. In the second half of the 19th century the higher education system in theology was established in the Russian empire and it limited the potentials of the Catholic priests to take gain higher education. This has influenced the beginning of uncontrolled self-process of the state, when priests were leaving for studies to Western Europe. If a college in Rome had been established, it would have been allowed the consistent studies. The idea to establish the Lithuanian college in Rome has arisen for the priests studying in the very beginning of the 20th century, but there were no possibilities to implement it. During the first years of independent state of Lithuania the specific plan to establish the Lithuanian college in Rome has emerged, which has been supported by the spiritual and secular powers. However, insufficient resources was the reason for not implementing it.
