Беседа Козьмы Пресвитера в Измарагде: новые данные

ENIzmaragd is a non-calendar florilegium of sermons, composed in Early Rus on the basis of existing corpus of translated homilies or original Church Slavonic texts. Known in three manuscript editions (Earliest, Basic and Lithuanian) florilegium contains some excerpts from the Sermon against Heretics, written in the second half of the 10th century by the Bulgarian writer Kosmas the Priest. Research proved that texts from the Sermon against Heretics in the three editions of Izmaragd are not the result of direct use of Kosmas the Priest’s work.The compilers of the Earliest edition had borrowed two homilies from early East Slavic reading florilegia which had already contained certain excerpts of the Sermon (chapters 28-29). The compilers of the Basic edition removed one text of the Earliest edition, and edited the another. The compilers of the Lithuanian edition saved one homily of the Basic edition of Izmaragd (chapter 3.VI) and added five new texts extracted from Prologue (chapters 72.1, 73.1, 74.1, 30.VII, 318.VII). The article is accompanied by texts of three homilies of Kosmas the Priest which were brought into the Lithuanian edition of Izmaragd (chapters 72.1, 73.1, 74.1) from the Kiev St. Sophia’s manuscript edition of the non-versed Prologue.
