LTStraipsnyje analizuojamas mokyklos baimės (baimės mokyklai) reiškinys, kuris siejamas su mokytojų kompetencijomis bei asmeninėmis savybėmis, aiškinant mokinių bei mokytojų baimių raišką ir turinį. Empirinių tyrimų pagrindu formuluojama išvada, kad palankių mokymosi aplinkų kūrimas užtikrina efektyvų mokymąsi ir bendradarbiavimą, sudaro prielaidas mokytojų ir jų mokinių kompetencijų plėtrai. ENThe phenomenon of school fear, which is linked to the teacher‘s competences and personal characteristics, presenting aspects of schoolchildren and teachers is analyzed in this article. Establishing favourable learning environment, which guarantees effective learning and cooperation is possible only cooperating, accepting challenges, changing and developing competences. The problem of the research: how is the migitation of the phenomenon of school fear related to teachers‘ competences and personal characteristics? Can the teacher, lacking necessary competences and personal characteristics, render effective assistance to schoolchildren? The scientific problem of this research in Lithuania is predetermined by deficiency of theoretical works and empiric researches, which reveal the expression of school fear and possible ways of decreasing this problem. The aim of the research is to analyze the phenomenon of school fear, linking it to the development of competences and improvement of personal characteristics. The objectives of the research are to study schoolchildren‘s opinions about teachers‘ competences and personal characteristics, which are related to the state of school fear; to survey teachers‘ viewpoint on school fear; to propose recommendations for schoolchildren, parents and teachers on the reduction school fear in school. The article is written on the analysis of scientific literature, survey and quantitative and qualitative methods of the analysis of the research results. The problem of school fear is urgent for teachers and schoolchildren, so it is necessary to mitigate it. Are there any ways to mitigate school fear in the primary stage before taking psychological and medical advice?.A very important factor of reducing school fear is related to the expression of educational competences: acquisition and improving competences and long-life learning. Researching the problem of school fear and its link with the improvement of competences and personal characteristics, 1030 senior students and 200 teachers were surveyed. The questions, for students and teachers, were aimed to identity if students and teachers experience school fear, what factors cause school fear and what competences and personal characteristics could help solving this problem. In solving order to school fear it is important to notice its sauses in the very beginning when it is possible to manage it without help of psychologists and doctors, only using educational means. Thus educational factors, school environment and the pedagogical staff are emphasized in this article. The analyzed scientific literature and this research confirmed that school fear is linked with the expression of competences and personal characteristics. According to schoolchildren‘s opinion, positive and negative dimensions of the teacher‘s communication and activity really exist. Teachers are considered to be one of the most important factors of school fear, however, they are partners who can be consultants solving this problem. The research on teachers‘ viewpoint indicates that teachers are not only the factors of this problem, its solvers and consultants, but are also affected by school fear. Teachers point out these negative factors: educational policy, environment, and dimensions of learning, competences and an individual. [From the publication]
