Summary / Abstract:

ENA wide range of issues, concerning the integration of disabled people into society, is involved in contemporary educational research. These are the issues such as the integration of disabled children into general training schools (the organization of educational process, the adoption and modification of curriculum, the organization of pupils' leisure time, teaching methods, etc.), public opinion of disability itself, and international experience analysis. However, the issue of handicaps' sexual behavior is not emphasized yet. Taking into account the necessity of social integration and the development of adequate public opinion of disability, the issue of handicaps' sexual education becomes of great interest. "The Conception of Preparation for Family and Sexual Education" has been already prepared and offered to public discussion a few years ago. However, it is not touched the issue of handicaps' sexual education in the Conception. Neither parents, nor pedagogues and medical people offered any idea about the importance of handicaps' sexual education for their further socialization process. Even more, it has been prepared "The Universal Programs on Health Education and Preparation for Family, and Sexual Education", in 2000. The purpose of the authors (of this article) is not to criticize the programs, mentioned above. We think that those programs are constructive guides both for teachers (higher schools' lecturers) and parents, because they express the holistic opinion of the issues, emphasized in those works. Although we would like to stress that there are mentioned nothing on the disabled children and their sexual education issues. Even more, these issues are hardly in the curriculum of social pedagogues training. However, that is quite understandable because even the issue of (healthy) children's sexual education is still questionable. The purpose of the article is to emphasize the importance of handicaps' sexual education, stressing the necessity to involve disabled children in the programs of sexual education and preparation for family.
