LTŠiame straipsnyje nagrinėjamas naujos informacijos valdymo priemonės — Švietimo valdymo informacinės sistemos (ŠVIS) - taikymas bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos vadyboje. Tirtas bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų vadovų požiūris į naujos Švietimo valdymo informacinės sistemos taikymą, jos veiksmingumą. Atlikus kiekybinį ir kokybinį tyrimą, nustatyta, kad vadovų vadybinėje veikloje dėl informacijos stokos ši sistema nėra veiksmingai taikoma. Dažniausiai mokyklų vadovai ŠVIS naudoja pedagogų ir moksleivių registrų duomenis, taip pat nacionalinio egzaminų centro duomenų baze. ŠVIS naudoja tiek miesto, tiek rajono bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų vadovai.
ENThe aim of this article is to analyse the application of Education administration information system (EAIS) in the management of comprehensive schools. There has been a research on leaders' of Vilnius comprehensive schools approach to efficiency of new EAIS in management experience. The analysis of the resources has shown that in our creative informational society there is a demand of constant improvement of schools, turning them into qualitatively new constantly learning organizations. In this process the main role is taken by the importance of new information and its management. Information management is determined not only by general abilities of the leader of comprehensive school but also by technical actions. Currently information is delivered by conventional means (radio, television, telephone) and modern means (video conferences, chat websites, electronic communicadon, open educational environment). EAIS - is a new way of information management justified by informational communicational technologies and enabling fast access to the modern systematized and generalized education information. Technical abilities to use this system are available to all schools in the country. The information about the conditions of education which is available in EAIS is constantly being updated. This information is relevant not only to leaders of comprehensive schools but also to other members of the community.Empirical quantitative has shown the leaders' of Vilnius comprehensive schools approach to Education information management system and the rate of its use. It is complicated to define unambiguously what percentage of questioned leaders of comprehensive schools is using EAIS. There is a clear contradiction between the answers to direct and general testing questions of the questionnaire. From the answers to direct question about the use of EAIS it is clear that two thirds of respondents find EAIS useful. However, from the answers to general quesdon it is clear that only one fifth of respondents use EAIS at comprehensive schools. Empirical quantitative survey about the use of EAIS systems has shown that leaders of comprehensive schools usually use database of educators and students and database of National Exam Centre. However, database of education and learning register. Empirical qualitative survey has proved the results of the quantitative survey and revealed some reasons for not using the EAIS systems. It is supposed that the insufficient application of EAIS in school management is conditioned by a few features. The lack of information, insufficient appeal of its design and structure, the shortage of basic information skills.
