ENThe article deals with the complex issues of evolution class servitors boyars, the nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the XV–XVI centuries. It is noted, that in addition to the economic well-being of nobles sought to enter into kinship with the big magnate families, clergy and merchants. The system prevailing feudal immunity in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania did vassal-dependent all sectors of society. Landowners sought to expand their estates, both at the expense of the county administration services, and as a result of the purchase of land. This has contributed to the emergence of a prosperous middle class gentry layer. In almost every feudal award says about the necessity of departure vassal service in favor of his Pan or the Grand Duke himself.
