LT2004 m., vadovaujantis KVAD ardomų archeologinių vietų tyrinėjimų programa, buvo pratęsti Paduobės (Šaltaliūnės) III grupės pilkapyno (Švenčionių r., A 1096 P) tyrinėjimai, LNM pradėti 1987 m. (žr. ENIn 2004 in the Paduobė (Šaltaliūnė) barrow cemetery group III (Švenčionys district) the disturbed barrows No. 14 and 15 and the trench No. 1 were investigated (the total area made 324 m2). The barrow No. 14 was 0.72 m high and had 8.5-9 m in diameter (14-15 m including pits). The barrow had no stone circle; it was surrounded by three arch-shape and oval pits. In the barrow there were two cremations, and remains of one more destroyed cremation were found in the periphery. The burial No. 1 contained a spearhead with a scalloped-edged blade, a knife, two buckles, a whetstone and a bronze ring. In the burials No. 2 and 3 no artefacts were found. The barrow No. 15 had 8.1 in in diameter (13 m including pits); the height of the surviving mound was 0.4 m. The barrow had no stone circle; it was surrounded by four pits. No undisturbed burial was found. Investigation of the cremated bones revealed that the barrow must have contained at least one female burial. The barrows are attributable to the East Lithuanian Barrow Culture. The barrow No. 14 dates to the 6th-7th century, whereas the barrow No. 15, according to the remaining structure, can be attributed to the second half of the Middle Iron Age.
